Call him what you want. “The Presence” or “Mr. Double Double” are monikers that could fit 7’2” post Greg Stewart to a T this month, as he’s led the WolfPack men's basketball team to three wins this month, an act of redemption for a team that’s struggled to find wins all year.
After a huge weekend in Victoria that saw Stewart score 52 points and record 35 boards, he was named Canada West’s Male Athlete of the Week, the first time a WolfPack basketball player had been given that honour. In seven games this January, he has only failed to record a double double in one of them.
“I’ve loved it pretty much, I’ve loved it all month, I’ve loved it all year,” Stewart said about his January performance before his team’s Monday practice. “My confidence is getting higher and higher and the consistency is starting to show.”
Greg Stewart’s is in the fourth year of his WolfPack career.
“I’m happy with what I’ve accomplished,” he said, “and I’m looking to accomplish more.”
