Campaign poster disappointment

I can’t say I’m not disappointed with Kyle Bowman’s attempts at a campaign poster.

For a refresher, he’s the current president of TRUSU. His posters had two messages contrary to that fact.

The first was his “Yes We Can” message. That slogan was used by Barack Obama to present his message of “change.” The second was the raised fist that Bowman used on his posters. The raised fist is a symbol of anarchism. If Bowman wanted to promote change or anarchism as his platform, he wouldn’t have been president in the first place.

The best thing the next TRUSU president could do is disband his position and lower all of our student fees. They’re high not because of tuition, but because of the unmerited power we give to TRUSU to take our money and give us nothing in return.

Something has to change, and it won’t be Kyle Bowman who gives it to us.
