The Omega welcomes and encourages volunteer contributors to submit their work for publication.
Articles
Articles must be written in an objective, journalism style and be void of any advertorial or editorial content. It is expected that quotes from reliable and relevant sources will lead the story, and that the sources in the story will not pose a conflict of interest for the author. All facts must be accurate and all words original. Most stories are 500 words in length, although exceptions are often made.
Columnists
Columnists write weekly columns on opinion topics that are of interest and relevance to the TRU community. Individuals interested in writing a column for The Omega should submit a proposal, with the column idea and suggested topics. These proposals can be submitted directly to editorofomega@gmail.com. Columnists' opinions are their own and do not represent the views of The Omega.
Letters
Letters to the Editor may be emailed to editorofomega@gmail.com or dropped off at House #2 on the TRU campus. Letters must contain the author's name and program (for publication) and contact information (not for publication.) While we intend to publish all letters as received, they may be edited for taste, brevity or legality. Letters with hateful or libelous subject matter will not be published.
Please note that all submissions will be edited, as needed.
